Best Local Services Ads Agencies for Contractors in 2026

Summary: A good Local Services Ads agency sets up your categories and service area correctly, rates every lead promptly in the Google Ads app, keeps your LSA reviews coming, and runs Search ads alongside LSA so you're not relying on one placement. Most contractors should pick an agency that manages both, keeps the account in your name and reports cost per booked job.

Local Services Ads are moving into Performance Max

What's happening to Local Services Ads in 2026?

Google is moving Local Services Ads into Google Ads as a Performance Max campaign type with pay-per-lead goals. The first phase began in August 2026 for selected US home-service advertisers, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing and pest control. More advertisers move in late 2026 and the rest in 2027.

Will my Local Services Ads look or bill differently?

Google says the ads keep showing only on Google Search and Google Maps in the same positions, and you still pay per valid lead, not per click. Manual bidding goes away, and ads are filled in from your Google Business Profile.

What should I do before my account moves?

Download or screenshot your Local Services Ads reports, because Google says historical performance reports won't carry over. Google emails you about 14 days before your move, and your settings and creative transfer automatically.

What changed in Local Services Ads

  • Google Verified badge. Since October 2025, businesses that pass Google's screening carry the Google Verified badge.
  • Lead ratings, not disputes. You rate each lead in the app, and Google uses ratings to decide credits. An agency that still promises manual disputes is out of date.
  • Moving into Google Ads. From August 2026 Google is migrating LSA campaigns into Google Ads as Performance Max campaigns with pay-per-lead goals.
  • No manual bidding. You set a budget and choose job types and areas. Ranking depends on proximity, reviews, responsiveness and profile quality.

The agencies

Opus Group

We run Local Services Ads together with Search ads and landing pages, plumbing first. Across the accounts we run, clients win $1M+ of work every month, with a 27x return on ad spend and a $63 average cost per lead. Our free guide shows how to set LSA up yourself if you'd rather not hire anyone: How a local service business can spend $1,000 and make $60,000 in a month. Not the right fit if you only want LSA and nothing else run.

Forward First Media

Focuses on HVAC, cleaning, plumbing, electrical and other home services. It publishes a one-off $497 onboarding covering account creation, verification, targeting and launch.

Surge

Says it works only with home-service contractors and runs Meta, Google PPC and Local Services Ads together.

Blue Corona

A long-standing home-service agency, now part of RYNO, covering the LSA application, setup, tracking and reporting.

Sonic Bold

Google Ads and LSA for US plumbers only, with its first 30 days of management at no fee once campaigns go live.

Logical Gecko

An independent Google Partner running Search ads next to Local Services Ads for HVAC, roofing and other home-service trades. It's month to month with 30 days' notice, and you keep the account.

Do you need an agency for LSA at all?

Not always. If you have one trade, one service area and time to rate leads daily, you can run LSA yourself. An agency earns its fee when you also run Search ads, cover several job types or towns, or don't have time to rate leads and chase reviews.

What's happening to Local Services Ads in 2026?

Google says the ads keep showing only on Google Search and Google Maps in the same positions, and you still pay per valid lead, not per click. Manual bidding goes away, and ads are filled in from your Google Business Profile.

What should I do before my account moves?

Download or screenshot your Local Services Ads reports, because Google says historical performance reports won't carry over. Google emails you about 14 days before your move, and your settings and creative transfer automatically.

What does a Local Services Ads agency do?

It handles setup and verification, job categories, service areas, budgets, lead ratings, review requests and reporting. Since 2025, lead disputes have been replaced by rating each lead, so the work is mainly setup, ratings and budget.

How much does Local Services Ads management cost?

Published LSA-only fees range from a one-off onboarding fee of about $500 to around $500 a month flat. Agencies that bundle LSA with Search ads and landing pages charge more. Lead costs are paid to Google separately.

Which is the best Local Services Ads agency?

It depends on trade and size. LSA-only shops suit contractors who just need the account run. Opus Group, Blue Corona, Surge and Forward First Media run LSA with Search ads for home-service trades. Pick one that keeps the account in your name and reports booked jobs.
